While Emain Macha is famous for its beautiful decorative flower beds, the most stunning
and famous flower garden can be found growing outside of the Healer’s house.
Even more stunning is Agnes, the gorgeous resident healer whose beauty surpasses
the famous flower garden outside her home.
As the kind healer of Emain Macha, Agnes is as skilled a healer as any in Erinn,
although her undeniable attractiveness tends to make male patients very nervous.
The running joke in Emain Macha is that male patients will often leave the Healer’s
House with “heart complications”.
In her own words, Agnes became a Healer because she fell in love with a dress as
a child, a Healer’s dress. She loved the dress so much that she constantly
wore it, and later on obtained the skills and training needed to professionally
don the healer’s garb.
Tre'imhse Cairde is a famous boutique in Emain Macha. Ailionoa is the top
designer who runs this shop. Supposedly, she was once a part-time worker at
the shop. The owner at the time was attracted to Ailionoa’s mysterious
yet beautiful look and hired her to deliver clothes in the beginning. One
lucky day, Ailionoa had to fill in for a designer who couldn’t come to work
because he was sick. Her design became a huge success and since then, she
worked her way up to where she is now. However, don’t undermine her
skills as just “luck”. She’s been designing and making clothes
ever since she was a young girl. The only difference is that, back then, she
made clothes for dolls and not people. You can say that all those years of
“play” experience honed and nurtured her talent.
Tre’imhse Cairde is the world-famous fashion boutique in Emain Macha, and
Ailionoa is both its top designer and manager. Starting out as a delivery
girl for the boutique, Ailionoa seized her opportunity to start designing when another
designer fell sick. Ailionoa’s very first design was a smash success
and she hasn’t looked back since. Her innate talents as a designer was
first realized as a young child, when she would design clothing for her dolls.
With an immeasurable passion for clothes, Ailionoa despises citizens who don’t
wear or treat their clothes properly. Because of the heavy workload from dual
responsibilities required in managing and designing, she may come off as a little
brisk, but don’t let first impressions fool you. Ailionoa’s kindness
and compassion is well-known, and who can blame her for success?
Aodhan, the decorated captain of the Royal Guard, is entrusted the great responsibility
of protecting the people and the Lord of Emain Macha. Vigilantly standing
guard at his post, Aodhan’s stern appearance can be intimidating, but his
warmth and eagerness to greet visitors and answer their questions starkly contrasts
his appearance. You’ll find through conversation that Aodhan loves and
cares greatly for Emain Macha and its people. The citizens of Emain Macha,
recognizing this, highly respect and follow him despite his youth.
Although he doesn’t get along with Lucas, the Club owner, he is very trusted
in Emain Macha as the captain of the most elite regiment. He has been captain
of the Royal Guard for several years now, making it impossible to doubt his combat
skills even at such a young age.
There’s a rumor that he once trained with Aranwen, the teacher at Dunbarton.
Seeing that they have similar mannerisms, it could very well be true.
Meet Del and Delen, identical twin sisters who run the flower shop in Emain Macha
Square. They are renowned throughout the city for their catty sibling squabbles,
be careful not to get caught between them!
Del, being the older sister, is understandably more mature and responsible, while
Delen is known to be more mischievous and rebellious towards her older sister.
Despite the constant fighting with her Delen, Del is known to be especially kind
and sweet.
If you’re looking to befriend Del, you should know that Del looked up to her
late father, a horticulturists who encouraged her to have dreams to chase.
Del’s father also taught her the value of dating an elegant man with class...
Head on over to the bustling Emain Macha Square, and take some time to stop and
smell the roses, and make a pair of new friends.
Delen is the younger twin sister of Del, born unexpectedly only a few minutes later.
After their grandmother named the firstborn twin Del, she had not thought of another
name for an unexpected second born, and their grandfather chose the name Delen.
Although Del and Delen are only a few minutes apart, friends and family clearly
see Delen as the younger sister and are constantly comparing her to Del. It’s
no wonder that Delen harbors resentment towards her “older” sister.
Delen often rebels against her sister by mimicking Del, putting her in awkward situations.
She’ll also pout and whine, but is generally very playful and has good intentions.
One look at the mischievous twinkle in her eye and you’ll definitely notice
that despite being identical twins, their personalities could not be more different.
Delen heeds her mother’s advice when it comes to romance: Meet a stable
man who can provide for her. A good man is someone who can afford to let his
wife stay home!
Find Delen at the flower shop in Emain Macha Square with her sister and say hello!
Try not to confuse the two!
Fraser aspires to be a great chef one day. Although he has considerable culinary
skill, his perfectionist teacher has yet to promote him and allow him to open his
own restaurant. Born and raised on the streets of Emain Macha, he is very
popular among the residents and gets along with everyone because of his friendly,
easygoing personality. He is especially close with the flower selling twins
and the owner of the Weapon Shop.
He lives in Emain Macha with his parents and adorable, but nagging younger sister
Shena. He never talks back to his sister when she nags or lectures, possibly
because he’s too nice or he’s used to it. Whatever the case may
be, Fraser is a simple man who is content with his life in Emain Macha.
Some say Fraser has no depth in his character because he never had to go through
any real hardships but seeing that he is able to stick to a strict and rigorous
chef training regimen, it makes you think twice.
Have you been to the Observatory located at the entrance of Emain Macha? Then
surely you must have seen the young man who maintains the Observatory and sells
random goods. Yes, the tanned boy wearing the sleeveless shirt with an odd
sense of humor.
His name is Gavin, originally from Bangor but now located in Emain Macha to seek
his fortune. His bright and cheery personality might be his way of coping
with loneliness and homesickness. A hard worker who earns every penny and
is very courteous to all customers, Gavin’s mannerisms may be a little...unpolished.
Gavin’s part-time workers all have their own opinions of Gavin and his eccentric
personality, but in the end, everyone agrees that Gavin is very faithful to his
work.
Gavin is constantly mentioning Lucas, the owner of Bean Rua, as his benefactor,
and it’s apparent the two have some history...
Gordon is the head chef of Loch Lios, a beautiful restaurant located next to the
lake. Born and raised in Emain Macha, Gordon suffered the trials and tribulations
of poverty throughout childhood. Using cooking as an escape, Gordon was lucky
enough to befriend a generous restaurant owner who taught him the skills necessary
to become a master chef. Gordon’s work ethic and culinary talents soon
earned him steady pay and a highly regarded reputation. With his hard-earned
money, Gordon was able to purchase the very restaurant he worked for and completely
remodel it as a picturesque tourist attraction. Gordon’s dynamic life,
from his monetary struggles, army stint, and now as a successful restauranteur and
master chef, has not changed his personality one bit.
He may be cranky and stubborn at times, but people stand in awe of his tireless
pursuit for whipping up the most delectable plates in Erinn. That’s why, even
with his strict teaching methods, Fraser has the utmost respect on him.
Many people are intimidated by the grandeur of the colossal cathedral in Emain Macha,
but their anxieties are put to rest once Priest James welcomes them with a bright
smile and boundless empathy.
Instead of shoving doctrines down the throats of his congregation, Priest James
practices a more accessible, neighborly approach. Engage in a pleasant conversation
with Priest James, and you’ll no doubt sense his deeply rooted religious beliefs.
His compassion and graciousness are renowned, and not one dweller in Emain Macha
has a bad word to say about Priest James.
Because of his calm demeanor, one may assume that he looks older than he really
is, but judging from his occasional fishing sessions near church, it’s easy
to understand why he doesn’t necessarily refute that notion.
Wow. Ever since that infamous line given by Jocelin during her speech commemorating
her arrival at Emain Macha, many have been led to believe that Jocelin is heartless
and stern. That’s why many who meet her for the first time will be quite
surprised to find that Jocelin is dignified, hospitable, and rather attractive.
An absolute perfectionist as well as an astute banker, Jocelin was personally selected
by Mr. Erskin himself to manage one of Erskin Bank’s busiest branches.
With her prestige and success on prominent display, Jocelin has become a role model
for all women in a mildly patriarchal society. Jocelin offers sage advice
in succeeding as a woman: Produce results that cannot be ignored, and do not
let your emotions get the best of you.
Club Bean Rua is an exclusive night club that operates after sunset. It’s
flamboyant décor, premium beverages, and night patrons make it unsuitable
for children. Owned and tended by Lucas, many are turned off by his seemingly
arrogant demeanor and rather terse language. However, it’s a little-known
secret that Lucas can possibly be the most loyal and caring friend one can make
in Emain Macha.
Originally from Tara, the capital of the Kingdom of Eilich, Lucas ventured to Emain
Macha to set up his own business. He may be much more industrious than one
would expect from him. He doesn’t seem to be on friendly terms of Aodhan,
but shrugs it off in his typical brazen fashion. Just make sure not to mention this
to Lucas.
A wandering bard, Nele has seemingly settled in front of Town Square for an extended
stay. Nele will often stand by the lake playing music for passersby, always
with a dreamy smile. His slow dialogue and soothing voice reminds many of
a sweet lullaby, and many townspeople are happy that he has found a home in Emain
Macha. With a laissez-faire attitude towards work, his friends are constantly
worrying about how he makes his living, but Nele remains carefree, happy and lives
by his motto: “Do what you feel like doing. Eat what you feel like eating.
Act how you feel like acting. That’s the way of the bard.” It shouldn’t
go unnoticed that he benefits greatly from having great friends like Fraser and
Agnes, who constantly extends a helping hand.
Pass by Town Square and listen to some good tunes courtesy of Emain Macha’s
resident musician. Heck, set up a campfire and share some food with him, and
you may just hear some of the most beautiful musical compositions in all of Erinn.
Need to repair some equipment? Looking for special armor or weaponry?
Head northwest from Town Square and look for a lady wearing a silver armor plate.
Ask for Osla, the weapons shop owner of Emain Macha.
We know, she looks a little...ditzy to be making weapons and repairs, but her quick,
skillful hands have earned the trust of even the most grizzled warriors. Even
with her outstanding skill, it is obvious that she takes offense to comments about
her spacey nature. This in turn affects her confidence, even with her amazing
abilities.
She may seem out of it at times, but like many people in this town, she’s
neither selfish nor conniving. She just has an eccentric feel about her…
she spent her teenage years traveling around the world, until finally settling down
in Emain Macha. Just accept her as who she is, and you’ll be fine.
...but then again, watching her cry at times at the corner over her lack of revenue…
sigh…
Shena works as a waitress at Loch Lios, the most famous restaurant in Emain Macha.
With her beautiful eyes and affable personality, she is greeted with smiles by everyone
in town whenever she leaves her post to acquire some ingredients and make deliveries.
Don’t be fooled by her charming, girlish personality. Shena is impeccable
with her work, more so than most of the adults. Even Chef Gordon, considered one
of the strictest perfectionists around, heeds her words and opinions, much to the
envy of Fraser.
Shena is very much aware of what goes on in Emain Macha, so if you have any questions
about the town, head over to Loch Lios and ask her. She’ll be more than happy
to help you on your journey.
Don’t try to cross her or ask too many questions about her family. She’ll
not only get her feelings hurt, but she has a photographic memory, so she’ll
remember anyone and everyone that has she doesn’t get along with. No one knows
what she’s bottling up inside, but it’s got to be something that most
kids her age wouldn’t be able to deal with…
